Christmas in july

I was at Hobby Lobby last week, and a forest has grown from the seasonal aisles full of red velvet and green branches. Christmas has come to Hobby Lobby, and I am not ready for this.

But this week I am attending a little pop up art and food show, and the theme is Christmas in July, so I am leaning in. I am currently working on a second kids book that is set in a Christmas town, so I pulled some ideas from my inspiration board just for that. Thanks, Pinterest.

Supplies:

-Clear bulbs. I ordered these plastic ones because I was short on time, but I would have preferred glass.

-dried flowers. I ordered this dried set and these bunny tails, again for time, but I could have dried my own or visited the craft store instead.

-3/8 inch velvet for an extra dose of texture and color.

I worked from my dining room table and it took one episode of ‘Never have I ever’ to get through them. I worked with different textures and mixes in each bulb to create some variety.
