Pink, Green and vintage Nursery Reveal

we are just two months away now from baby girl’s arrival, and it is starting to feel real.

when I started to dream up her room, I wanted it to feel special for a child to be in. I wanted a spark of magic to the space, like out of a storybook, that was imaginative. I wanted room to create and grow.

it’s a lot to put on one little nursery, but I am so very pleased with the final result.

People mostly comment on the stunning, massive rug or the extra special gold crib, but they are tied for me with that electric glider that is sooooo comfortable. The glider was the splurge for the room, but with the money we saved on the antique dresser, I figured it was worthwhile.

The gallery wall is one of my favorite parts, and I sourced the frames from thrifting, Target, Amazon, and Etsy. I love the idea of being able to change it out as time goes on and the room grows with her.

Getting husband to do the faux paneling was a bit challenging, but I love the little detail it adds. It’s not super hard, either. It looks so good with the matte green in person, too.

Just the right amount of pretty and absurd in the artwork, right? Gotta hit that whimsical spot.

Some pieces are truly one-of-a-kind, and I think that is important to balance all the newness of some of the room.

my dad built us those wooden shelves himself so they would be extra deep - essential for fitting books and babies.

The dresser was antique and bought off of marketplace. Thankfully, our cabinet man, Pete, knew how to fix the top up nice for us. It’s a literal dream.
